We provide professional cleaning services for all types of Persian and Oriental rugs. Our process includes fully soaking each rug with clean water, gently washing it, and rinsing it repeatedly to remove dirt while protecting the fibres, colours, and intricate patterns. In addition to cleaning, we offer securing, overcasting, fringing, repairs, and complete rug restoration. All work is carried out by our experienced Iranian specialist, who previously worked in the Tehran Carpet Bazaar and professional rug workshops for many years before settling in South Africa. Oriental rug cleaning should always be handled by trained professionals using specialised techniques and equipment designed for delicate fibres and natural dyes. Proper care helps protect the rug’s colours, texture, structure, and long-term value.
We strongly advise against washing Oriental rugs at home or taking them to ordinary carpet cleaners or car wash facilities. These methods are not suitable for fine rugs and may cause colour bleeding, shrinking, weakened fibres, and permanent texture damage. Professional cleaning reduces the risk of costly mistakes and ensures each rug receives the correct treatment. In some cases, damage caused by improper washing cannot be repaired, while restoration may become expensive when recovery is still possible.
